What do you do when your state's economy is in shambles? Well, if you're Mallie's Sports Grill and Bar in Southgate, Mich., you make a 185 pound hamburger.
With a patty that took 15 hours to cook and a bun so large it required over 8 hours to bake, the massive burger has solidified a spot in the Guinness World Records book. One can only assume the finished product was sectioned off and used to feed struggling executives from each of the Big Three.

Hi Jason,
My name is Geno Martinelli, and we would like to tell you that this weekend, at our companies "Family Day" we broke Mallies Sports Bar's record for the largest Hamburger, officall weighing in at 236 pounds.
We have all the documentation, photos, and videos that are being collected, ready to send off to Guiness. We would love for someone like yourself to help us publish our accomplishment. Children from the visiting families helped construct the massive burger, and was later donated to to 1st Lutheran Church, that ruin a soup kitchen for the homeless. If you are interestwed in publishing our story, please let us know. We would love to share.
Look forward to hearing from you soon,
Geno Martinelli
PS,
We are Shipbuilder in San Diego, so we were way out of our eliment, but you will be impressed with the grill and cylnder that was constructed to accomish the feat.
