Kiss from a Bacon Rose

Looking for an edible arrangement without all that obnoxious fruit getting in the way? Well, look no further than the bacon roses pictured below. Perfect for the man who doesn't want to waste money on a bunch of silly flowers that can't be used for things such as enhancing hamburgers or wrapping around scallops.
We'll be the first to admit that it takes a special kind of lady to appreciate a bacon bouquet, but we're guessing if your loved one doesn't at least give you some serious credit for the effort, then they're not worth your time anyway. After all, it's not often you find a gift that's both romantic and artery clogging.

Posted On: Thursday, Mar. 25 2010 @ 7:27PMHow do we know that these were not made for a guy? In which case... awesome...

Posted On: Friday, Mar. 26 2010 @ 10:12AMThis had to be made for a guy. Cause I couldn't think of a single women I'd give this too. I agree with "Rimo".
Posted On: Friday, Mar. 26 2010 @ 10:20AMWhat do you mean, a woman wouldn't want this? My wife proposed to me after I shipped her a case of bacon!
Now, where can I get this? I want to become a member of the bacon rose of the month club!
Posted On: Friday, Mar. 26 2010 @ 2:05PMI'm a woman, and I have just demanded these as a gift for a loving occasion. My friends too, will Envy. So There, sexist bacon-hoarders! :)
Posted On: Friday, Mar. 26 2010 @ 4:31PMWhere do I get some? I wanna send these to my husband right now!!
Posted On: Friday, Mar. 26 2010 @ 5:58PMI would LOVE these! And I'm not a man or a "heifer". I just happen to LOVE bacon and understand and appreciate the fact that it makes everything better!
Posted On: Friday, Mar. 26 2010 @ 10:13PMSorry, guys, but there are some female bacon lovers out there who are not pork-sized! As soon as I saw this I told my husband to send this instead of flowers next time! And I am well within the Government approved weight limit with room to spare! Moderation, boys, is the key! Half a dozen bacon roses will do!
Posted On: Saturday, Mar. 27 2010 @ 6:39AMThis is awesome. I totally would think a girl was cool for liking these too. And yeah, chocolate-covered would really seal the deal. I'ma have to try to recreate this. Any instructions?

Posted On: Sunday, Mar. 28 2010 @ 12:47PMi would love it if my wife gave me this gift and im not fat but i doo love bacon
Posted On: Sunday, Mar. 28 2010 @ 6:23PMIf they deep fry these, they'll triple their sales in America! This is so funny that someone came up with this idea!
Posted On: Monday, Mar. 29 2010 @ 6:23PMWhat kind of woman would like this? Certainly not MY kind of woman.
Posted On: Wednesday, Mar. 31 2010 @ 8:31AMPowder them with chocolate.
Posted On: Thursday, Apr. 1 2010 @ 12:15AMAhhhh I see. The bacon flavored Vodka did nothing for my step mother, perhaps this will do the trick.
Posted On: Thursday, Apr. 8 2010 @ 4:03AMI think these are brilliant. They are certainly far more original than any regular roses. I mean, how hard does someone have to work to call 1-800-flowers and have them toss something together.
Posted On: Saturday, Apr. 10 2010 @ 3:14PMI am a woman who would appreciate these and at a mere 115 lbs I am far from being a "heffer".
And frankly, I don't know any women who are so lacking in self-esteem so as to "instantly give it up" for any kind of flowers.
Actually, *I* am the woman who made those, and they were my winning entry for Bacon Camp 2009 in Columbus Ohio, held at the Wild Goose Creative as an entry for their crafting competition. Each one is a strip of thick cut bacon, rolled in brown sugar, wrapped into a rose shape, and baked until done. They smelled and tasted as good as they look. You can find out more about the event, held last summer, at www.wildgoosecreative.com
My husband thinks everything is made better with bacon, so these candied bacon rosettes and my ability to imagine and craft them has brought our love to a whole new level. However, I think my sister put it best when she said, "I know I would feel loved if someone gave me a bouquet of these."
